Yale Law School: LEAP

Logo design

This new program at Yale Law School is focused on the evolving place of animals in our society. (Did you know that 95% of terrestrial mammalian biomass is either human or animals raised to feed humans?) While we first thought we should avoid the use of a particular animal in the logo, we ended up with the mouse for scale. Within the huge powerful structure of the law, animals have no legal standing at all. The stripes of the column double as a cage that traps the mouse in our system.
